Mashael Al saie

Mashael challenge ideologies posed by the industry and society as a whole. As an Arab woman & creative in general, she had an interest in the underlying messaging that is found in photo & video art. I was fascinated by the way she captured the conversation happening between herself and her subjects. Her work is something of an ethereal nature, revealing the many layers to her work as well as the stories that unfold with every piece she produces.

I was particularly like the meaning of the second photo is no one way of defining what it personally means to identify as a woman – and we wanted to leave it to a community of photographers to open up these interpretations.
